Winning ranked battles will get you cubes, which allow you to unlock Ranked rewards and reach higher ranking tiers.

After rank 10, you'll learn about how to SNAP and increase your cubes earned per-match.  You can win potentially up to 8 cubes in a single match, but the higher the stakes the more cubes you'll lose if your opponent beats you.  So go get some cubes!
