Rank
Your rank is shown by the number to the right of the “Play” button. There are 12 ranks; Recruit (1-4), Agent (5-9), Iron (10-19), Bronze (20-29), Silver (30-39), Gold (40-49), Platinum (50-59), Diamond (60-69), Vibranium (70-79), Omega (80-89), Galactic (90-99), and finally the highest rank Infinite (100). At the end of every season, your rank resets according to the Rank Reset algorithm (see below).
You will earn Cubes for winning matches, and lose Cubes if you lose or retreat from a match. In general, you need 7 Cubes to go up a rank.
Example: If you’re Rank 22, once you earn 7 Cubes, you’ll go up to Rank 23. Every 10 Ranks is part of a Tier. Ranks 11-20 are part of “Iron Tier”. Ranks 21-30 are part of “Bronze Tier”. Each time you reach a new Tier for the first time in a season, you will earn a new Reward!
Infinite
The highest rank in the game. When you reach Infinite, you get access to the post-Infinite rank system, which assigns ranks to players based on a leaderboard (a lower rank number is better at this point) as opposed to the pre-infinite cube-based ranking.
Rank Reset
If you are Infinite rank you’ll go to rank 75
If you are between ranks 90 and 99 you’ll go to rank 73
80-89 -> 65
70-79 -> 63
60-69 -> 55
53-59 -> 53
1-52 -> No decay
Rank 10, Iron, is the rank floor and you can not go below it.
No matter how high you rank at Infinite, you will always reset to rank 75.
Matchmaking Rating (MMR)
Your Matchmaking Rating is a hidden number assigned to you that the game keeps track of. As you win games, that number goes up; as you lose games, that number goes down.
Snap Points
Once you reach Infinite, rather than seeing your rank from 1-100 on the pre-infinite ladder, you will be be assigned a specific number of Snap Points, based on your MMR and seasonl play, which will determine your placement on the global leaderboard.
