If you feel you are going to lose, you have the option of retreating!  This is especially useful if you want to minimize your Cube losses due to your opponent snapping or on the final turn if you don’t feel confident you can win..

On the bottom left, there’s a Retreat button.

Retreat Now: Will instantly end the game with you escaping, and you only lose the amount of Cubes that are displaying in the cube at the top of the screen.

Retreat Later: Will treat you as if you are retreating, but will not instantly retreat.  Instead, it will wait to see what your opponent does; if your opponent also retreats, the game will end in a tie.  If your opponent plays their turn normally, you will retreat and only lose the amount of trophies that are displaying in the cube at the top of the screen.
